Mr Jiang Jianchu, Deputy Procurator-General of the Supreme People's Procuratorate, paid a courtesy call on Commissioner Lo Wai-chung on December 9. Both parties explored the feasibility of strengthening the co-ordination between criminal law enforcement and prosecution, and discussed the related challenges ahead for Hong Kong and the Mainland.

During his stay in Hong Kong from December 7 to 11, Mr Jiang visited Legal Aid Department, Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre, Hong Kong Bar Association, Department of Justice, Independent Commission Against Corruption, Financial Services and the Treasury Bureau, the High Court, Security Bureau, Law Society of Hong Kong and Correctional Services Department. Mr Jiang also took the opportunity to visit the Legislative Council.
