Three Honorary College Advisors, Mr Lee Ming-kwai, Mr David Hodson, and Prof Eric Tsui Yue-hong, and an Honorary Associate, Mr Wong Kwong-hing, were re-appointed for another two-year term earlier this month.

The Honorary College Advisors and Associates (HCAA) Scheme began in January 2006 to tap the expertise of external experts as Advisors and internal experts as Associates for Police College's training programmes. The re-appointment has brought the total number of HCAA to 21, comprising 17 Advisors and four Associates.

On May 16, Commissioner Tsang Wai-hung and the senior management of the Force and Police College met and exchanged views with the Honorary College Advisors. Mr Tsang also took the opportunity to present re-appointment certificates to the three Advisors for 2013-15.

Mr Tsang thanked the Advisors for their contributions to the Force's training and development programmes. He also expressed his appreciation for sharing with the Force their expertise in areas such as police-oriented tactical emergency medicine, knowledge management and learning technologies, leadership and decision-making, coaching and communication skills, emotional fitness and physical training, quality assurance as well as court procedures. Their contributions enabled Police College to develop and deliver quality training programmes, Mr Tsang added.
