Since its inception in 1844, the Hong Kong Police Force has gone from strength to strength. The Force is committed to maintaining social order, combating crime and protecting the life and property of people in Hong Kong.

The year 2024 marks the 180^th anniversary of the Force, to commemorate this important milestone, the Force has designed a special '180^th anniversary' logo. Adopting the concept of the traditional Chinese Ruyi Knot, the logo symbolises peace and longevity, as well as the unity and determination of the Force in upholding national security, and keeping Hong Kong as one of the safest and most stable cities in the world.
