Dear Sir / Madam,

 

We would like to thank the Marine Police in Sai Kung for coming to our aid on Monday, 18th November, around 2:00pm at the entrance to Shelter Cove. We were out on our 40-foot steel boat, testing a new engine, when the engine failed. As we were concerned about drifting onto the rocks, we flagged down a Marine Police boat passing by (Vessel Number 9). They immediately came to our aid, and tied up alongside us for 15 minutes until we dropped an anchor and got a friend to come out and tow us back to a yacht club.

 

They were extremely helpful, professional and friendly and we were most grateful for their assistance.  Please send our compliments to the appropriate station as we would like the police involved to receive acknowledgement for their efforts.

 

Once again thank you very much for the Marine Police's timely assistance.
