Eastern District (EDIST) teamed up with Housing Department and the Chai Wan Residents Association Ltd (HKCWRA) in organising the opening ceremony of the Eastern District Community Ambassador (NEC) (EDCA NEC) Scheme and a carnival on November 16.

 

Chai Wan Divisional Commander Wong Kwok-yin, Eastern District Council Vice-chairman, Mr Kung Pak-cheung, Eastern District Fight Crime Committee Member, Ms Leung Kit-ping, Housing Manager, Ms Law Yuk-wah, and HKCWRA Chairman, Mr Li Ming-tao, officiated at the ceremony at Wan Tsui Estate, Chai Wan, before a large gathering of local residents.

 

The EDCA NEC and members of the EDIST Senior Police Call, EDIST Project Harmony, EDIST Junior Police Call and the officiating guests distributed flyers and souvenirs on anti-crime messages to the residents.

 

The EDCA NEC aims at strengthening mutual assistance, communication, social responsibility and a sense of belonging, in addition to helping police fight crime.
