Police Karate-do Club held the Annual Karate-do Tournament in Police Sports and Recreation Club on November 17, attracting 165 karate-do practitioners to take part in 24 events. A seven-member team from the club, led by Sergeant Lam Kin-fung, achieved impressive results, bagging two gold, two silver and two bronze medals.
Police Karate-do Club Vice-chairman, Chief Inspector (CIP) Lee Cho-ming, said the tournament was organised with the aim of promoting a healthy lifestyle and developing the skills of karate-do through get-togethers and interaction.
Club Chairman, Superintendent Young Chi-man, pointed out that his club had been improving karate-do skills with the Seitoku-kan Association of Japan Goju School style. The Seitoku-kan was founded by Sensei Mamoru Morita (7th Dan) with recognition by the Japan Karate-do Federation. Mr Mamoru Morita, as the "Grand Master" of the club, comes to Hong Kong regularly to review skills with the practitioners.
The club organises training sessions for adults and youngsters from 10 am to 12.30 pm every Sunday. For enquiries, contact CIP Lee on
