Dear Sirs,
I am a medical specialist and was rushing to the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine in Wong Chuk Hang Road, Aberdeen, for a meeting. I was already late and yet I mistakenly made a wrong turn. As I was not familiar with the Hong Kong side, I was quite anxious and helpless. A young male police officer was passing by on a motorbike (The car plate no. is AM 8733). I immediately asked the officer for help and he explained in detail the correct direction but I was still confused about the complicated route. Out of my expectation, the officer guided me to the destination.
His action helped me a lot since I was quite sure I would end up somewhere in a place that I was totally unfamiliar with. From this incident, I am very impressed with our police force. The officer showed politeness, patience, professionalism, respect to the public and compassion to help people in need. I am proud of our police force for its dedication to providing quality service. I'd like to thank the officer for his great help.
Dr Fung
(Editor's note: the officer praised in this letter is PC Ho Cheuk-lam of PSU 3 ABDDIV)
