The Technology Crime Division of Commercial Crime Bureau, the Office of the Government Chief Information Officer, and the Hong Kong Computer Emergency Response Team Co-ordination Centre jointly organise an annual campaign known as "Build a Secure Cyberspace" to raise public awareness of information security and technology crime. The campaign comprises a series of public engagement activities, including seminars, radio programmes and competitions.
"Be a Smart Netizen" Video Contest was one of the activities in the 2013 campaign, aiming at promoting awareness of information security and adoption of the best security practices by the community.
The overall standard of entries to the competition was outstanding, demonstrating the creativity and passion of the contestants. Awards for the contest were presented at "Build a Secure Cyberspace 2013 - Protecting from Targeted Attacks" public seminar on December 3.
