Commercial Crime Bureau (CCB), in view of the rising trend of "Naked Chat Blackmail", initiated an operation in October last year to tackle the problem with a four-pronged approach comprising intelligence analysis, enforcement, liaison with stakeholders, and education/publicity. Since the kick-off of the operation, CCB has co-operated with different stakeholders in organising education and publicity programmes on "Naked Chat Blackmail".

 

To draw the attention of the community and relevant organisations to "Naked Chat Blackmail", CCB, since December, has been giving presentations on the crime to District Fight Crime Committees (DFCC). So far, CCB has given presentations at the meetings of DFCC in Tuen Mun, Eastern District and Wan Chai.

 

CCB will give similar presentations to other DFCC and organisations in a bid to strengthen partnership in thrashing out strategies to tackle "Naked Chat Blackmail".
