Four new Force records were set in the Police Annual Swimming Gala 2013 at Kowloon Park Swimming Pool on December 14. Cheered on by Commissioner Tsang Wai-hung and a large gathering of guests and their colleagues, Force swimmers tried their best to win in 55 events.

 

In individual events, Police Constable (PC) Leung Ka-ming of Ma On Shan Division was the Overall Champion and PC Ma Hoi-ying of Commercial Crime Bureau (CCB) and PC Tu Pui-yee of Marine North Division shared the Individual Overall Champion title.

 

In Formation events, Police College outshone other Formations and bagged the trophy for Men's Formation Overall Champion, while CCB captured the Women's Formation Overall Champion title. In other contests, Yau Tsim District won the title of the Best Participating Formation, whereas Police College clinched the title of the Best Cheering Formation.

 

A highlight of the annual gala was invitation relay for teams from Guangdong Public Security Bureau, Macao Police and various government departments and universities. On conclusion of the gala, Police Swimming Club Chairperson, Superintendent Ho Ka-fei, extended his appreciation to all the swimmers for their excellent performances and called on them to maintain their high standard and set more new records in next year's Police Swimming Gala.
