The Yuen Long District (YLDIST) Junior Police Call (JPC) Honorary President Council held a Spring Reception in Yuen Long Police Station on February 12. Among the guests of honour were New Territories North Regional Commander Chung Siu-yeung, YLDIST Commander Tsang Cheung-tat, Yuen Long District Officer, Mr Edward Mak, Vice-chairman of Yuen Long District Council, Mr Wong Wai-shun, Chairman of Yuen Long District Fight Crime Committee, Mr Lee Yuet-man, and Chairman of Yuen Long JPC Honorary President Council, Mr Bar Chun-chow. 

 

Also present at the reception were heads of primary and secondary schools and local Non-ethnic Chinese (NEC) community leaders. The NEC mentees of YLDIST's Project "HIMALAYA" and the students of a local school treated the guests to Chinese blessing songs and lion dance respectively. 

 

Certificates were presented to the Best JPC School Clubs for disseminating fight crime messages, promoting the JPC scheme, and organising and participating in community services.

 

Speaking at the ceremony, YLDIST Commander Mr Tsang thanked YLDIST JPC Honorary Presidents for their unfailing support and wished all a happy and prosperous year of the Horse.
