The Police Tennis Team landed more glory by beating long-time rival Fire Services Department (FSD) in the finals of the "Disciplined Services Tennis Tournament" on February 22, winning the championship for the 5th year in a row in front of the Secretary for Security, heads of the disciplined services and other guests.
The final of the tournament, held under the auspices of Mr Richard Tang, was played at the Disciplined Services Sports and Recreation Centre. Led by Force tennis aces Senior Inspectors Clement Lee and Ian Pang, the Force team overpowered FSD with an impressive performance of 7 to 2 sets and received the champion trophy from Mr Tang.
Team Captain, Chief Inspector Stephen Mok, pointed out that Police Tennis Team had trained hard and the result did not come by easily. He encouraged interested Force members to join the Police Tennis Club to support the development of tennis within the Force and to promote healthy lifestyles.
