During a visit to Shaanxi Provincial Public Security Department with a Force delegation from May 11 to 17, Deputy Commissioner Ma Wai-luk officiated at the graduation ceremony of a five-day mobile tactics-training course for 89 provincial and municipal public security officers from Shaanxi at the Police Training Division of the Xi'an Municipal Public Security Bureau on May 16.
The tactics training in Shaanxi was the 22nd course jointly organised by the Ministry of Public Security and the Force. Seven instructors from the Weapons Training Division, led by Superintendent (Weapons Training) Chan Wing-leung, provided the tactics training and the trainees were very impressed by the instructors' dedication and professionalism.
Speaking at the graduation ceremony, Mr Ma introduced the background of the mobile tactics training course and encouraged the trainees to apply the tactics they had learned by following the principles of "theory, discussion and practice" for self-protection and law enforcement. He also thanked the Shaanxi Provincial Public Security Department for their full support for the training and praised the trainees for displaying dedication and perseverance throughout the intensive training course. He then presented certificates to the 89 trainees who had successfully completed the course.
During the visit, the Force delegation met with representatives from the Shaanxi Provincial Public Security Department, the Municipal Public Security Bureaux of Xi'an, Weinan, Huayin and Yan'an as well as the Police Training Division of the Xi'an Municipal Public Security Bureau to share policing experience.
