Crime Prevention Bureau joined hands with Regional Crime Prevention Offices, Explosive Ordnance Disposal Bureau and Transport Division in taking part in the Asian Securitex 2014 held at the Hong Kong Convention  and Exhibition Centre from May 7 to 9.  

 

Crime prevention tools, such as the latest models of four-wheel drives, motorcycles, electric saloon, bomb disposal equipment and Robotcop, were on display at the event, attracting over 10 000 local and overseas practitioners from the security industry.  Among the visitors were the Secretary for Security, Mr Lai Tung-kwok, and the Under Secretary for Commerce & Economic Development, Mr Godfrey Leung.

 

The Force has been taking part in different exhibitions organised by the security industry in a bid to disseminate crime prevention messages and exchange knowledge with representatives from the industry in Asian countries. Other objectives are to motivate the local security industry to improve their services, and to promote the image of the Force.
