To heighten public awareness of drink driving during the World Cup tournament, the Road Safety Office of Traffic New Territories South (T NTS) is disseminating the message of "If you drink, don't drive" in a publicity drive, which began on May 24 and will finish on June 29.
On May 24, T NTS Senior Superintendent Kwok Ho-yee, together with the Chairman of the Tsuen Wan Traffic and Transport Committee, Mr Lo Siu-kit, and Vice-chairman, Mr Wong Ka-wa, as well as Tsuen Wan District Operations Officer Tam Wan-yee, led officers in distributing flyers and souvenirs in bars and restaurants. To drive home the serious consequences of drink driving, the Police also let the public experience the alcohol breath test.
After the World Cup tournament, T NTS will continue to tackle drink driving to help achieve the vision of "Zero Accidents on the Road, Hong Kong's Goal".
