The Counterfeit and Forgery Division of the Commercial Crime Bureau (CCB) held a sharing session with representatives from the baking sector on counterfeit "mooncake" redemption coupons on July 4. The meeting, chaired by Superintendent (SP) Glenn O'Neill, marked the fourth consecutive year of partnership in raising crime prevention awareness and enhancing professional skills.
The session focused on advice on improving coupon security features and discussion on checking procedures. CCB also provided a crime prevention package for the representatives, who in turn highlighted the problems their sales staff face.
Commenting on the sharing session, SP O'Neill said, "It is an important partnership and we treasure the opportunity to discuss issues of common concern with the representatives. I am confident that the police and the baking sector, by working closely together, can combat this type of crime effectively."
