Marine Region sent delegates to take part in the annual Safety Afloat Education Seminar held on June 12. The event was a joint venture by Marine Department and Leisure and Cultural Services Department.

 

Senior Inspector Yu Sai-kit and Inspector Leung Yuen-ching, both from Marine East Division, gave talks on sea safety and the issue of drug abuse at sea, and called on the public to come forward to report suspected cases in order to provide a drug-free environment for recreational activities at sea.

 

The Hong Kong Life Saving Society, Hong Kong Underwater Association, Hong Kong Water Ski Association and Marine Excursion Association also provided talks on sea safety for recreational activities.
