As schools are always the target of burglars during long summer vacation, Yuen Long District (YLDIST) hosted a seminar on prevention of the crime for school principals and representatives on July 4.

 

Speaking at the opening of the seminar, Acting Deputy District Commander Lau Mei-yam highlighted the district's strategies of preventing school burglary. It was followed by a briefing given by district investigation team officers on the burglary trend and common modus operandi in Yuen Long. At the same time, the Regional Crime Prevention Office of New Territories North Region offered advice on the measures to be taken on campuses to reduce the risk of burglary.
