Supporting the Force-wide blitz against illegal soccer bookmaking during the World Cup period, Lantau District (LTDIST) organised a seminar for 20 Senior Police Call members and 20 Form 6 students on June 30, illustrating the harm of illegal gambling with a video. It is expected that the participants would in turn disseminate anti-illegal gambling messages to their families and peers.
On the same day, LTDIST also joined forces with the Tung Wah Group of Hospitals CROSS Centre in offering an anti-drug training camp for 60 primary 6 students. The training sought to help the students steer clear of crimes and drugs and strengthen their sense of discipline with team building activities, role plays and sharing of experience.
