Marine Port District (MPDIST) held a workshop for a special school on July 17 for promoting sea safety.
MPDIST tailor-made the workshop for more than 10 primary students with special needs from the CCC Mong Kok Church Kai Oi School. They enjoyed a fun game on the things to note at sea and learned how to put on and find life jackets onboard vessels. The workshop ended with a visit to police launches to see the safety equipment used by marine police.
MPDIST volunteers took good care of the students throughout the event, earning the praise of a school representative, who also presented a banner to Marine Port Deputy District Commander John Cameron for organising the workshop and caring for people with special needs.
