To pay recognition to the Police Volunteer Group for its contributions and outstanding performances, Yuen Long District (YLDIST) held a Best Volunteer Awards Presentation Ceremony on June 25, where District Commander Tsang Cheung-tat presented commendations to the outstanding volunteers. He also called on the awardees to discharge their social responsibilities and help build a harmonious community by continuing with their active participation in volunteer services.

 

The awardees indicated that they are, through volunteer services, rendering another type of community service and promoting community-police relation. During this process, they brushed up their communication skills as well as ability to organise volunteer services.

 

The primary services rendered by the Yuen Long Police Volunteer Group are disseminating beat crime and crime prevention messages as well as promoting social harmony, with the elderly, youth and Non-ethnic Chinese groups being the major service targets.
