The Regional Crime Prevention Office Hong Kong Island (RCPO HKI), in conjunction with the four police districts in HKI Region, conducted an operation, "Eaglehunt", on June 28 as a publicity campaign against pickpocketing and theft in a bid to remind the public to take good care of their personal belongings. 

 

As the summer vacation is on, the publicity campaign covered  beaches, tourist attractions and locations packed with visitors, such as the stations for buses and coaches heading for Ocean Park, Peak Tram Station and Golden Bauhinia Square. 

 

During the campaign, 25 Junior Police Call (JPC) members from Eastern and Western Districts, accompanied by police officers, acted as "Crime Prevention Pioneers", and handed out crime prevention fliers and souvenirs to the public, visitors and beach goers.
