The "Kwai Tsing District Fight Crime Action Kick-Off Ceremony 2014/2015" was held on July 18 in support of the Fight Crime Committee (FCC).  

 

Officiating at the ceremony were District Officer (Kwai Tsing), Mr Lo Ying-ki, Chairman of Kwai Tsing District Council, Mr Fong Ping, Kwai Tsing District Commander, Chief Superintendent Wong Kin-wah, Chairman of Kwai Tsing District Fight Crime Committee (DFCC), Dr Yeung Hoi-shan, Chairman of Working Group on Publicity Campaign, Mr Lau Hing-wah, and Activities Chairman, Mr Chau Hau-lap.

 

Kwai Tsing District (KWTDIST) will launch a publicity campaign to support the FCC's beat crime themes: "Beware of Deception", "Mind Your Belongings", "Guard against Sexual Assault" and "Stand Firm! Knock Drugs Out". To promote the themes, a series of anti-crime postcards were distributed to the public at the kick-off ceremony. As the summer holidays are underway, the DFCC took the opportunity to remind young people to make friends wisely and steer clear of illicit drugs.

 

At the ceremony, KWTDIST Junior Police Call members were appointed Anti-crime Ambassadors to assist in promoting and publicising anti-crime activities, while renowned artiste, Mr Fan Chun-fung, was appointed Kwai Tsing Anti-crime Celebrity to help promote anti-crime messages.
