The Police Shooting Club hosted an Inter-Disciplined Services Shooting Competition at the Police Sports and Recreation Club on August 2 with marksmen from six disciplined services pitting against one another with semi-automatic pistols.
After a neck-to-neck contest, the Force shooting team, comprising Station Sergeant (SSGT) Chu Hing-tak, SGT Lam Wah-ping, Police Constable (PC) Au Pak-shing and PC Lam Chak-hung, clinched the team event title, followed by the Auxiliary Police shooting team as first runner-up.
In the individual event, Force shooters swept all the top ten places. The first three top shooters of the event are PC Au (Champion), PC Lam (1st runner-up) and SGT Ng Yan-kit (2nd runner-up). Following the Force marksmen's victories, Police Shooting Club Chairman, Senior Superintendent Tony Siu, offered congratulation and encouraged them to scale more heights.
Meanwhile, to facilitate improvement works of the Police Sports and Recreation Club, all the activities at the Police Shooting Club's indoor range will be suspended from October 1 to February next year.
