In a bid to enhance communication and understanding with the Non-ethnic Chinese (NEC), the Police Community Relations Office of Western District (PCRO WDIST) teamed up with the Caritas Aberdeen Community Centre this summer to roll out a "Join Hands to Fight Crime" programme, which provided a series activities.
The activities included visits to Aberdeen Police Station and Hong Kong Correctional Services Museum for NEC young people to understand more about anti-drugs and crime prevention messages and Hong Kong's legal system and criminal law. Moreover, the Road Safety Team of Traffic Hong Kong Island joined the programme and disseminated road safety messages. NEC Anti-crime Ambassadors pitched in for the programme by distributing fliers reinforcing the messages.
