In a bid to heighten public awareness of street scams and counterfeit banknotes, Commercial Crime Bureau mounted joint publicity in Kowloon East Region on August 14 in conjunction with the Kowloon East Regional Crime Prevention Office, Police Community Relations Office of Sau Mau Ping District and two local District Councillors.

 

Officers handed out fliers and souvenirs to members of the public and handled their enquiries on the ways to avoid falling preys to street scams, and identify fake banknotes.
