Regional Crime Prevention Office Kowloon East Kowloon East (RCPO KE) joined forces with Wong Tai Sin, Sau Mau Ping, Kwun Tong and Railway Districts to hold an inter-district basketball competition on August 5.

 

KE Regional Commander Richard Morgan kicked off the event, while Kwun Tong District Fight Crime Committee Chairman, Mr Chow Yiu-ming, Wong Tai Sin District Fight Crime Committee Working Group Chairman, Mr Tai Kwok-wai, and Sai Kung District Fight Crime Committee member, Ms Ki Lai-mei, presented prizes to the winner and runners-up.

 

Participating in the competition were eight teams from Junior Police Call (JPC) Wong Tai Sin, Sau Mau Ping JPC, Kwun Tong JPC, two KE Teens, Hong Kong Playground Association, Youth SPOT and Wong Tai Sin District Recreation & Sports Council. Following three-hour of heated competition, Wong Tai Sin JPC clinched the title in extra time.

 

While the players were locked in tough battles, attractive crime prevention banners were put up at the venue and short films on crime prevention were screened in a bid to make the players more aware of preventing and fighting crime.
