Yau Tsim District (YTDIST) held an "Anti-crime Seminar" in Tsim Sha Tsui Police Station on August 22 for about 60 representatives from over 20 hotels as well as retail and service companies as part of its ongoing effort to tackle quick cash crime.
Welcoming the representatives, District Commander Yu Tat-chung hoped that the seminar would heighten awareness of crime prevention and provide a platform to further strengthen the partnership in fighting crime in line with the Force's strategic direction of "Engaging the Community".
After Mr Yu's speech, Assistant District Commander (Crime) Tsang Yiu-wo and Chief Inspector (Crime) So Man-kuen briefed the representatives on the crime situation and modus operandi, and offered advice on measures to prevent quick cash crime, particularly shop theft and miscellaneous theft.
Thanking YTDIST for the advice on crime prevention measures, the representatives commented that the seminar was "very practical", offering a better picture of the trend of quick cash crime.
