Marine East Division (MEDIV), with sponsorship by the Sai Kung District Fight Crime Committee, has teamed up with the Sai Kung District Community Centre in creating a webpage on sea safety advice.
To promote the website, the booth set up by the "Sea Safety Guarding Angels" of MEDIV at the Sai Kung Public Pier not only offers a "Cardboard Cop" for snap shoots and distributes sea safety fliers, but also displays a QR Code of the website. Visitors are invited to use their smart phones to scan the QR Code to browse the webpage and share information with their friends.

After a crime prevention sharing session for oil companies was held in April, Acting Marine West Divisional Commander Law Ka-hong visited Tuen Mun Typhoon Shelter and Tsuen Wan Dangerous Goods Anchorage for another sharing session with oil company representatives on September 3. The party later boarded oil barges, assessed the security measures onboard, and exchanged views on the measures, beefing up co-operation in thwarting theft from oil barges.
