The Police Community Relations Office of Tuen Mun District (TMDIST), together with the Road Safety Team of Traffic New Territories North Region, the Police Dog Unit (PDU) of TMDIST and TMDIST Junior Police Call (JPC), played host to students from the Singapore Hillgrove Secondary School on November 14, who were on a cultural exchange in Hong Kong.
Following a welcome speech by District Commander Iain McNicol, TMDIST Police Community Relations Officer Choy Chun-wah, and JPC staff members introduced the structures of the Force and TMDIST, and JPC objectives and activities.
Arrangements were also made for the students to visit Tuen Mun Police Station and Tuen Mun Road Safety Town, with a performance by PDU TMDIST in between, all of which aimed at giving the young guests a better idea of the work of the Force. The visit went a long way towards fostering a cultural exchange and mutual understanding between JPC members and the students.
