Marine South Division (MSDIV) held three seminars for over 600 students between November and December for promoting sea safety.
The MSDIV Sea Safety Team, known as "Southern Cross", gave sea safety talks in Cheung Chau Government Secondary School, Sacred Heart School on Cheung Chau and Holy Family School on Peng Chau to enrich students' knowledge of sea safety. "Southern Cross" officers told the audiences the correct way to put on a lifejacket and how to find the escape route onboard a vessel, introduced the inflatable lifejacket - Secumar Alpha 275 - and invited them to try on the lifejacket.
While the students welcomed the talks, the school authorities thanked MSDIV for its effort to make their students more conscious of sea safety.
