The chief executive officer of a fastfood group, representatives from the Democratic Alliance for Betterment of Hong Kong - WTS Branch and East Kowloon District Residents' Committee, and Wong Tai Sin District Councillors, called at Wong Tai Sin Police Station and presented banners on December 15 for the efforts made by the Wong Tai Sin District (WTSDIST) Management and officers of Task Force Sub-unit, District Special Duties Squad, District Intelligence Squad (DIS), District Investigation Team (DIT) and District Crime Squad.

 

On November 25, a man entered two outlets of the fastfood group in Wong Tai Sin and splashed the staff there with corrosive fluid and fled, also injuring eight persons. WTSDIST deployed a large number of officers to the scene and apprehended the culprit just three hours after the incident. This prompt arrest was much appreciated by the parties concerned.

 

The other case for which officers were complimented was a burglary on November 13, in which officers from DIS and DIT nabbed a suspect after a joint investigation within five days after a report was made to police.
