Assistant Commissioner (Information Systems) Peter Cornthwaite presented Police Long Service Medal and Clasp, Long and Meritorious Service Certificate for Civilian Staff and Commanding Officer's Commendation to a total of 29 officers on January 13 for their exemplary performances and contributions.

 

Mr Cornthwaite praised Information Systems Wing (ISW) officers for their achievements in using information and communication technologies in developing applications and services for frontline policing. Thanks to their efforts, new developments in mobile video systems, Mini-Range system and Fingerprint and Palmprint Livescan System had been implemented for improving efficiency, he said.

 

In closing, Mr Cornthwaite encouraged ISW officers to keep up their good work in various projects to introduce a new Force email, upgrade Windows 7, deliver HKPChat and Crime systems, and replace CIS with Case Management and Investigation System.
