Tsuen Wan District (TWDIST) has been complimented for busting promptly a serial robbery case, a burglary and a wounding case.

 

On February 11, a member of Legislative Council and Tsuen Wan District Council, Mr Chan Han-pan, two Tsuen Wan District Council members, Mr Lo Siu-kit and Miss Lam Lam, and the Operations Controller of a chain convenience store, Mr Chan Hing-yui, called on District Commander Kwok ho-yee and presented banners to him and his officers. 

 

Between December 2014 and January 2015, a serial robber armed with a fruit knife raided the convenience stores in Tsuen Wan and Sham Shui Po on three occasions. District Crime Squad, together with District Anti-triad Squad and District Intelligence Section of TWDIST, conducted a thorough investigation and mounted a large-scale enquiry at the public estates in New Territories South Region. Their efforts paid off when they apprehended a suspect at a public housing estate in Tsing Yi. The suspect admitted all the offences under caution.
