In a seven-a-side football match organised by Tuen Mun District (TMDIST) on January 24 for promoting racial harmony, local and Non-ethnic Chinese (NEC) youngsters vied for the “Harmonious Cup”.

 

Four teams coming from Caritas Tuen Mun Marden Foundation Secondary School, YPI & CA Lee Lim Ming College, Chung Sing Benevolent Society Mrs. Aw Boon Haw Secondary School and TMDIST Junior Police Call pitted against one another in the match, which was followed by a friendly match between the Tuen Mun District Fight Crime Committee (TMDFCC) and police volunteers. 

 

A TMDFCC member, Mr Chan Pui-kin, and the Chairman of Hong Kong Youth Development Association, Mr Khan Jahan Zeeb, were on hand to cheer on the players.

 

Off the pitch, the NEC youngsters came to know more about the police, while the latter also took the opportunity to pass on anti-crime messages.
