Junior Police Officers Division and Recruitment Division jointly organised the Inauguration Briefing for Development Programme 2015 for Junior Officers with Potential at Police Headquarters on March 9.
After Senior Superintendent (Human Resources) Yau Kwok-yui officiated at the event, speakers from Human Resources Branch, ex-Final Interview Board Chairman, Border District Commander Joseph Tung, and external markers of English and Chinese written tests shared with the participants the selection criteria and the points to note. There was a mock Extended Interview on the spot.
The event attracted a total of 260 participants, including junior police officers, mentees of the Police Mentorship Programme and Auxiliary officers recruited under the Auxiliary Police Undergraduate Scheme.
With the selection process for appointment of Station Sergeant to Inspectorate via the Selected Appointment Scheme (SAS) about to commence, Recruitment Division also offered a sharing session at Police Headquarters on March 12 for 26 Station Sergeants from various units. At the session, Chief Superintendent (Human Resources) Jocelyn Cheung, Extended Interview Director Chief Inspector Benny Chan and two SAS candidates, Inspector Chan Tsz-hin and Inspector Ng Yu-biu, shared with the participants their observations of the previous selections.
