Mong Kok District (MKDIST) introduced its 2015 Formation Action Plan to community leaders on May 8. Among those attending a briefing given by District Commander Mark Foster were Yau Tsim Mong District Officer, Mrs Aron Laura Liang, Chairman of Yau Tsim Mong District Council, Mr Chung Kwong-mo, Yau Tsim Mong District Fight Crime Committee Chairman (DFCC), Mr Chan Siu-tong, district councillors, and DFCC members. 

 

Mr Foster reported that there was a drop in overall crime and serious crimes in his district in 2014 and the first quarter of 2015. He attributed the improvement to community support and participation in the fight against crime, thanked the community leaders and appealed for their continuous support for the police.

 

Besides the 2015 Formation Action Plan, the guests were also briefed on the latest crime trends in MKDIST and the Force's public relations and media strategies.

 

The briefing session also saw crime victims and stakeholders presenting appreciation certificates to those officers who had come up with outstanding performances in fighting crime.
