The New Territories North (NTN) Region paid tribute to 866 Best Security Guards at an award presentation ceremony on May 13. NTN Regional Commander Kwok Ho-fai, Chairman of Security and Guarding Services Industry Authority, Mr Cham Ka-hung, Director of Hong Kong Security Association, Mr Chan Yin-tim, District Fight Crime Committee chairmen, Acting NTN Senior Superintendent (Crime) Chan Yi-ping, and Superintendent Kwok Yik-man from Crime Prevention Bureau officiated at the ceremony before more than 700 guests and representatives from the security sector.    

 

A record-breaking number of security guards – 4 220 in total – participated in the NTN regional Best Security Guard Awards 2014 competition. Mr Cham, Executive Director of Hong Kong Security Association, Mr Tang Kwok-hoi, and Chief Inspector Li Ming-kei from Security Company Inspection Unit of Crime Prevention Bureau formed an adjudicating panel. The panel selected 866 winners of Merit Award, from whom winners of Top Ten Award, as well as Gold, Silver and Bronze awards were picked.
