Under the "Police Public Partnership Platform" project of Sha Tin District (STDIST), District Council members, District Fight Crime Committee members and community leaders attended meetings chaired by the Divisional Commanders (DVCs).
The DVCs explained their policing philosophy, reported progress of policing, and discussed feedback and ideas with the community leaders, covering issues ranging from illegal parking to burglary.
Bank staff commended
Meanwhile, Sha Tin DVC Stephen Baker recently presented a certificate of appreciation to a bank staff for foiling an attempt by a telephone deception syndicate to cheat a Sha Tin resident out of $80,000. The bank staff suspected that the resident was a potential scam victim when the latter drew money in the bank.
