The Regional Crime Prevention Office of Hong Kong Island Region (RCPO HKI), in co-operation with the Teens and Elderly Mission Committee, mounted a crime prevention publicity drive on The Peak on May 16, with HKI Regional Commander Tang Ping-keung and the Chairman of the committee, Dr Baldwin Cheng, officiating at an opening ceremony.

 

Besides the four police districts on Hong Kong Island and different groups and schools, the District Fight Crime Committees on the island and HKI Crime Prevention Ambassadors also supported the event.  

 

Following the opening ceremony, as many as 400 guests set off from the Peak Galleria in a procession and went around the Harlech Road and Lugard Road, visiting various crime prevention publicity sites en route, which offered crime prevention tips to the public.
