At the earlier Hong Kong Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics, Force members raised over $820,000 out of a total donation of $2.1 million.  The donation from the Torch Run supports Hong Kong athletes with intellectual disabilities to participate in the 2015 Special Olympics World Summer Games in Los Angeles in the U.S. from July 25 to August 2. 

 

The Flag Presentation Ceremony for the Hong Kong Delegation was held on June 11 with the Secretary for Home Affairs, Mr Tsang Tak-sing, officiating. The Chairman of the Police Sports Council, Assistant Commissioner (Service Quality) (ACP SQ) Li Kin-fai, attended the ceremony as a honourable guest alongside representatives from other law enforcement departments and organisations.
