This year's Force Annual Shooting Competition took place on May 9 with over 250 regular and auxiliary police shooters pitting against one another in two main events on revolver and pistol shooting.
Events included distance-shooting (10m, 15m and 20m), position shooting (single-handed, both-handed, kneeling) and barricaded shooting. The contestants competed for awards in categories of UB (Team/Individual), Crime (Team/ Individual), Open Revolver (Team/Individual), Open Pistol (Team/Individual), Auxiliary (Team/Individual), Fung Siu-yuen Cup Promotion Relay and Tang How-kong Cup (for first-time contestant).
Following rounds of nail-biting contest, Operations Wing clinched the Fung Siu-yuen Cup while Police Constable Cheung Kwai-cheong claimed the Tang How-kong Cup. Director of Operations Lau Yip-shing, Deputy Commandant (Auxiliary) Yang Joe-tsi and former Deputy Commissioner (Management) Fung Siu-yuen attended the competition as guests of honour and presented trophies and medals to the winners.
Police Shooting Club Chairman, Senior Superintendent Siu Kit-hung, thanked all the participants and volunteer helpers for their contributions to the event. The champions of different categories are as follows:
