The Force Dragon Boat Team, with its distinctive colorful blue jersey, took part in the Hong Kong International Dragon Boat Races (HKIDBR) in Victoria Harbour off Tsim Sha Tsui East from July 3 to 5, securing the best ever result - ranking sixth out of a total of 143 local teams participating in the races. It was also the first time the team was qualified for the Presidential Cup, which was one of the highlights of the whole event.

The result was by no means a small accomplishment because half of the team comprised new members, many of whom had never participated in the HKIDBR and lacked the crucial experience of major races. To overcome this hurdle, the team had undergone vigorous training since early this year that was designed to beef up the strength and endurance of the whole team.

The Force Dragon Boat Team taking part in the HKIDBR consisted of members from diverse backgrounds and ranks. Despite their different shifts and jobs, they were bought together and greatly inspired by the spirit of dragon boat racing.

The Police Dragon Boat Club Charity Race 2015 has been scheduled for October 10 and Force members are welcome to join the event for a good cause.
