With arrangement made by Police College, Superintendent (SP) Cheng Hung earlier attended a four-week training exchange programme in South Australia Police (SAPOL).
In visits to the various units of the SAPOL, SP Cheng took a close look at the intelligence support for criminal investigation and the new developments of technology for frontline officers. The exchange programme also introduced the SAPOL's strategies of combating terrorism and the training and weapons for special force units in this aspect.
Police College has been organising an annual training exchange programme with the SAPOL since 2010. The programme has not only strengthened co-operation with the SAPOL, but also given Force members opportunities to meet SAPOL officers at both managerial and frontline levels for sharing experiences and views of policing strategies, resources management and the challenges ahead.
