Over 20 officers from Regional Crime Prevention Office of Kowloon East (KE) and Regional Crime Unit KE were nominated to attend an interactive workshop known as "Police Can Code Workshop" with teachers and students of the City University of Hong Kong in the Department of Applied Social Studies of the university on August 19.
Dr Ray Cheung of the City University delivered presentations of mobile applications, principles, procedures and encoding. Through practice, the participants could see different results after adding or altering instructions in mobile applications.
In the workshop, police officers not only learned the basic programming skills of simple applications, but also develop their potential in personal development of computer skills.
