The Police Community Relations Office of Tuen Mun District (TMDIST) held a "Security and Management Awareness Seminar cum Anti-telephone Deception and Technology Crime Talk" in Tuen Mun on August 28 for representatives from Housing Department, property service agents and security service sector.


The Chairman of Tuen Mun District Fight Crime Committee, Mr Lee Hung-sham, and three Tuen Mun District Council members attended the event to show their support for the police.


After District Commander Iain McNicol officiated at the event, officers from the Regional Crime Prevention Office of New Territories North gave talks on prevention of unlawful debt collection, technology crime and phone deception. They also discussed many issues with the audience, including security, management, technology crime and phone deception.


At the end of the event, TMDIST Police Community Relations Officer Choy Chun-wah distributed leaflets and USBs containing videos on prevention of phone deception and technology crime to the audience. In response, the audience pledged to continue to work closely with the police in fighting crime.
