As more residents are expected to head for the Mainland during the Mid-Autumn Festival and the National Day, Commercial Crime Bureau mounted a joint publicity drive on counterfeit banknotes at Lo Wu Control Point and Lok Ma Chau Spurline on September 21 in conjunction with the Regional Crime Prevention Office of New Territories North and the Police Community Relations Office of Border District. Officers handed out fliers and souvenirs to members of the public and dealt with their enquiries about the ways to identify fake banknotes.
