The Regional Crime Prevention Office of Hong Kong Island (HKI) and Teens and Elderly Mission Committee hosted a "HKI Crime Prevention Teens and Elderly Cup - Invitation Basketball Competition" on September 12, attracting over 1 300 elders and teenagers.


Among the guests on hand to support the event were HKI Regional Commander Tang Ping-keung, Chairman of Teens and Elderly Mission Committee, Dr Baldwin Cheng, and Vice-chairman, Dr Liu Kai-Ming, the chairpersons of the four District Fight Crime Committees on Hong Kong Island, as well as HKI Crime Prevention Ambassadors.


Teams from four schools took part in the competition. The Church of Christ in China Kwei Wah Shan College won the championship following nail-biting matches. In addition, two basketball teams formed by Hong Kong A1 Division basketball players and artistes joined a Star Basketball Friendly Match.


Besides enjoying exciting matches, the spectators also joined interactive crime prevention games and enjoyed crime prevention plays.
