At the invitation of the Kwun Tong Madrasa imam Qari Muhammad Awais, officers from the Police Community Relations Office of Sau Mau Ping District (SMPDIST) attended the Eid al-Adha Prayer at Hong Ning Road Playground on September 24.

Eid al-Adha is important to Muslims. At the prayer, Qari Muhammad Awais reminded the Muslim community that they should obey the law and love Hong Kong as their home.

Some local residents, who were curious about the event and eager to know more about the Islamic culture, asked Police Community Relations Officer Nicholas Yiu many questions, and the latter did his best to oblige.

The prayer was held at a public playground for the locals to know more about the Islamic culture in a bid to promote racial harmony.
