The family of a 71-year-old man, who went missing whilst hiking alone in early November, presented a pennant to officers of Regional Missing Person Unit New Territories North (RMPU NTN) in appreciation of their efforts to locate the elder.
A habitual hiker, the elder, on the day of his disappearance, did not take his mobile phone or leave any message of where he was heading for. As a result, officers had little information to go by. However, thanks to their continuous efforts, the elder returned home safe and sound after being found in Lung Kwu Tan in Tuen Mun six days later. His family greatly appreciated the officers' dedication to duty.
